About the Conference:
Reflecting the rapid growth of the MEMS field and the commitment
and success of its research community, the MEMS workshop/conference
series has evolved into a premier annual event in the MEMS area.
In recent years it has attracted over 600 participants and has
presented 120-150 select papers in non-overlapping oral and poster
sessions. Despite its size, it has remained committed to a single-session
format, thus favoring the strong interaction of attendees among
each other and with exhibitors.
Topics:
1. Design, analysis, and theoretical concepts with experimental
verification;
2. Materials and device characterizaton;
3. Fabrication and packaging technologies;
4. Biomedical and chemical devices and systems;
5. Mechanical and physical sensors and systems;
6. Actuators;
7. Micro-optical devices and systems,
8. Wireless communication devices and systems (non-optical);
9. Nano-electro-mechanical devices and systems;
10. Miscellaneous.
About Maastricht and MECC:
Maastricht´s vibrant history and its situation at a crossroads
of European cultures, languages, and trade routes lend it a unique
charm and international
flavor. The city attracted worldwide attention in 1992 with the
signing of the Maastricht Treaty
on the European Union by twelve member states. Belgium, Germany,
Luxemburg, and
France are just around the corner. The Maastricht Exhibition &
Congress Center MECC
ranks among the top facilities of its kind worldwide.
