  4. Podcasting White Paper | Proposal
    1. The first section of the report outlines the benefits of podcasting with regards to educational learning, addressing the allocation of class time and continuous replay of course content. The following section addresses educator’s concerns and benefits associated with the introduction of podcasting into their curriculum. Topics covered include, the required technical skills, impact on student attendance, podcasting as a continuous improvement tool, and other issues. Followed by an in-depth look at the production, publication, and distribution of podcasting from the point of origin to the point of end-use. Additional topics covered within the report regarding the implications associated with integrating podcasting with PSU's current technological infrastructure include;
      1. Capital investment with respect to: new databases to handle the storage requirement of podcasts;
      2. Requirements for student file storage space;
      3. Organization and cataloguing of course material; and
      4. Authenticating access to podcast material.
