My name is Sean Swanepoel and I was born and grew up in South Africa, I lived at a small coastal town called Richards Bay. After 19 years in South Africa I took up school in the United States, and along with that I am on the Penn State swimming and diving team. My interests obviously involve swimming but I am also a fan of most other sport and as a child growing up playing rugby I enjoy watching a game when I can.
What I enjoy most is hanging out with friends, a bit of partying, and I have been fortunate enough to have done a lot of traveling in my time, which is a favorite. My list of dislikes is very short but on that list is tardiness and vegetables.

About three years ago I had a swim meet in Europe and was able to do a bit of traveling in that time; one of the venues which I swam at was Barcelona, Spain. I was there for a little over a week and feel in love with the lively city and the laid back lifestyle and attitude of the people. I was there over the summer and enjoyed a large amount of my time at the beach as it only started to cool down and darken at around 11pm. The market places were amazing and the streets came to life at night with performers and street parties. Out of all the places I visited the Magic Fountains of Montjuic was by far the most spectacular as it is a place of rich history and of beauty with the illuminated fountains lighting the nights.
