Hi. My name is Robert Drone, and my e-mail address is rwd133@psu.edu. I am a Geography major in the General option. I have a bunch of transfer credits from the University of Scranton, so based on the amount of those credits, my guess is that I would be a junior here at Penn State. I grew up in Bloomfield, NJ, which is located north of Newark and East Orange. It has been awhile since I last read or heard this, but I believe Bloomfield was named after General Bloomfield, a commander in the American Revolution. I have traveled to every state along the East Coast, except Maine, Georgia, and Florida. I have also visited California and Canada a number of times. I was in a class where one of the women was wearing a dress with a world map printed on it as its pattern. It turned out that her husband was a geographer. Coincidence? I would like to work as a geographer when I am finished with school. I cannot be more career specific at this time because I am new to this major and do not know where I fit in yet. I am taking Geography 121 because it is required for the major and because it is a pre-requisite for Cartography, one of geography’s sub-fields that I wish to explore.
