- Supervised student teachers during their yearlong internship.
- Collaborated with mentors to support, assess, and evaluate interns. Fall 2007 - Present.
- Worked collaboratively with faculty and school-based practitioners to negotiate a syllabus for the clinical experiences of undergraduate seniors.
- Utilized Studiocode, a video analysis tool, to support novice teacher reflective practices.
- Supervised undergraduate seniors during their field experiences. Fall 2007, Fall 2008, Fall 2009, Fall 2010.
- Worked collaboratively with faculty and school-based practitioners
to negotiate a syllabus for the clinical experiences of undergraduate
seniors.
- Served as a co-instructor for the weekly seminars focused on developing a stance towards inquiry.
- Utilized Studiocode, a video analysis tool, to support novice teacher reflective practices.

- Worked with colleagues from the University and the local school district to plan a course grounded in research-based methodology that developed interns' skills in teaching science in the K-6 classroom.
- Instructed 30 undergraduate seniors majoring in elementary education in this 400 level, three credit course. Fall 2008.
- Engaged in collaborative planning and instructing for a 400 level, three credit course for undergraduate seniors majoring in elementary education. The course focused on developing and implementing classroom learning environments that promote learning. Fall 2007.
- Worked collaboratively with Dr. Carla Zembal-Saul to design a syllabus for this weeklong three-credit graduate level course that examined how video and video analysis tools, such as Studiocode, can be used as performance artifacts to investigate problems of the practice.
- Served
as the primary instructor. Responsible for implementing the objectives
as outlined in the syllabus and assessing the progress of students.
- Created focus content team teaching strategy for the sixth grade classrooms.
- Outdoor Learning Classrooms Project Founder and Chairperson. Monitored the creation of the student designed and constructed Aquatic Classroom (a 55 foot pond), Geological Classroom, Donators' Den, and Insect Inn. Designed school-wide excitement and community initiatives and assemblies to promote each outdoor classroom. Applied for grants to finance project.

- Served on the district's science curriculum committee.

- Worked collaboratively with an elementary school principal to co-design a professional development program to meet the needs of her staff regarding their experiences in the school's outdoor Schoolyard Project.
- Co-wrote and received two $15,000 Department of Environmental Protection grants for financial support.
- Co-wrote a $25,000 ING Unsung Heroes grant to support funding.
- Implemented the self-directed, differentiated professional development plan with 23 mentors and 8 interns. Fall 2007 - Present.
- Co-planned and facilitated a two-day training workshop for 20 teachers and administrators from varying levels and years of experience to assist them in developing group facilitation skills. Summer 2008, 2009.
- Worked collaboratively with college teacher educators throughout the state to determine a theme and strands for the call for proposals for the annual meeting.

People to People Student Ambassadors, Delegation Leader
- Supervised 40+ students in groups during travel to Australia, New Zealand, France, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy. Summer 2003, 2004.
- Developed a science / cultural curriculum that was implemented during the student teaching practicum. Compared the bio-, geo-, and cultural diversity of Puerto Rico to Pennsylvania. Summer 2001.
- Participated in a one-week field experience. Immersed in the culture and language of Spain. Spring 1998.
- Participated in a one-week, hands-on course in biology and ecology. Snorkeled, collected and identified organisms' phylum and habitats, and conducted experiments. Traveled to other local cities like Ocho Rios to learn about the culture. Spring 1997.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Lion Ambassadors, Pennsylvania State University, University Park Campus
- A highly selective student organization founded and sponsored by the Penn State Alumni Association. Responsible for representing the University at all VIP functions, working collaboratively with the administration and admission department to recruit students through tours, information sessions, and college fairs. Responsible for the planning and execution of 12 public relations efforts each academic year. Inducted Spring 2001.
