This
was my welcome to Central Pennsylvania seventeen years ago. My Grandfather was
born and raised in Mifflintown. I was born and raised in Elkhart,
Indiana. I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1983 and served as both a musician, drum major and recruiter. A
few years into active duty I began taking college courses in business from the
University of North Carolina distance education program. This was
interrupted by three duty station changes from 1990 to 1992. In 1995 I was sent
to San Diego for training as a Marine Corps recruiter. I arrived in Centre
County after my orders had been changed twice.
I retired from active duty in 2003 and began work with Penn State University in 2004. I completed my Associate in Science degree in Business Administration in 2006 and am currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Security and Risk Analysis (Information and Cyber Security Option).
I have been promoted from Network Support Specialist to Senior Network Support Specialist to my current position as Systems Administrator. Some of my job responsibilities include; Symantec Administrator, PCI DSS compliance and remediation, Operating System and software deployment. I am certified as a Tripwire Enterprise Engineer and am a member of the disaster recovery team
