Evidence of "Public" Use of Technology

I have used technology in many situations for teaching. For every class that I teach, I have a technology classroom and I use PowerPoint on days when it is necessary that I present new material (be it grammar or vocabulary). Below is a sample presentation.

Here, you will find my use of technology for a public presentation. I used a PowerPoint presentation to present a vocabulary lesson on the parts of the body. I feel that the presentation was well-received, and followed an input to output schemata in which the learners were first presented with the material, then were asked comprehension questions, and then were finally asked to produce the new material. Using technology in a public setting acts as a wonderful way to communicate information to large groups of people in an appealing way. Furthermore, if participants would like to have a copy of the presentation, it can easily be e-mailed to them or be placed on a website for future access. Not only is it an efficient way to impart information, but it is also environmentally friendly so as to eliminate the need for printing handouts for everyone (as many will simply toss the handouts upon leaving the presentation). Furthermore, the presentation is another way to receive feedback, and you may know if your presentation was a success based on the participants desire to have a copy of it. In most cases, my learners enjoy my presentations and often ask for me to post them online.
