my professional life, I have worked with many faculty, graduate students,
public health professionals and practitioners, doctors, families, youth, and others.
I can remember as a young adolescent being chastised for listening to others’
conversations and “staring.” I wasn’t really staring, but I was listening.
And I continue to listen. To almost anyone about almost anything—leading me
to questions and projects that are most often linked to health. The human
processes associated with communicating were drawing me to “listen.” I
just didn’t know it then. Today, I listen with intention and it leads me to
all kinds of interesting places. I will share a few of them on this site…
