Moran is a Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Fellow and a Fellow at the Miller Center for Public Affairs at the University of Virginia. She specializes in 20th century American politics, gender history, and the history of the human sciences. Moran is currently finishing her dissertation, "Body Politic: Physique and Government in 20th Century America," at the Pennsylvania State University.
