Is tech news your forte? You'll probably like Digg then. Digg is possible the first and most popular social news website, and there's a reason for it. Digg is simple. Just send a link to Digg with a short description and in minutes millions of geeks are checking out the site. If a person likes a story, they just simply click the big Digg button, and the story slowly increases in rating.
The Good
- Digg is fast on breaking news. Often several hours before major news sites.
- Has content that isn't available anywhere else.
- Simplistic site design.
- User can participate as much or as little as they like.
The Bad
- Not everything on the front page is great content.
- Discussions get downright crazy!
- Good stories often never make the front page.
