Homework, Quiz, and Exams:
Solutions to various things
Homework will be due on Mondays during recitation. I will then grade the homework and hand it back during recitation. For the Tuesday sections, I will try my best to finish grading on Monday but depending on my schedule that may be impossible some weeks.
Make sure you spend sufficient time each week understanding the homework well. Not only is it worth 10% of your grade, but the quizzes in recitation will be based heavily upon the homework. If you are seeing a type of problem for the first time while the rest of the class practiced with the homework, you will be at a significant disadvantage.
If you have a special reason for being unable to take an exam (religious observance, sports, etc.) speak with or email Dr. Lieberman during the first few weeks of class.
Although I am here to answer your 240 questions, email is a terrible medium for math discussion. Please instead bring up your question in recitation or office hours. If you are uncomfortable asking questions in recitation, you can email me at least 24 hours before recitation and I will bring up the question anonymously. If doing so, please include your recitation section in case I don't remember which one you are in. Feel free to email me about other issues, however.
Along with recitation and office hours, there are a number of resources provided by Penn to help you succeed in your calculus class. Please take advantage of these since they are provided for your benefit!
Sunday Night Review, Weeknight Review, and Online Help--all these are run by math grad students
