Common name: Delphinium

Other cultivars and species: Many hybrids and species. Closely related to Larkspur Consolida ajacis which is sometime included in the genus Delphinium

Family: Ranunculaceae

Zone: 3-7

Identifying characteristics: Papery spurred flowers on a spike. Foliage usually palmate and often highly dissected. Consolida foliage almost feathery.

Culture and use notes: Use in mixed beds and borders. Nice cut flowers. Often short lived and may have problems in hot humid weather.
