Reclaiming Their Roots

The intrusion human industrialism has on the natural world is immense and escalating.  We were trying to call attention to this problem by placing nature in an unnatural setting.  Imagine that buildings and pavement have hands and fingers grasping at surrounding natural areas spreading across the land consuming all the nature in its path.  Using this imagery, our installation shows the hands and fingers of plants reclaiming their land by penetrating a building through water outlets.
