  3. Register InterWrite PRS Add-In

Creating a clicker question in PowerPoint
  1. Write the text of the question and put them in the slide;
  2. Edit the setting of the question using the PRS tools under the Add-In tab.
Write the question
  • Type in the text of the question on a slide
  • Decide whether the choices of the question are labeled by letter A, B, C, D, or number 1, 2, 3, 4. Here is an example of using letters:

Create or Edit the Question

  • Click on the New Question button, and select appropriate settings in the pop-up window. Here is an example:

    Question type Multiple Choice also applies to multiple select. In the Correct Response column, simply click on all correct choices.

    In this example, Letters was selected because the options were labeled by A, B, C and D. If you have used 1, 2, 3 and 4, you will need to select Numbers.

    If you give students five items to choose from, then the Number of Choices should be 5 rather than 4.

  • Click on OK to save. Continue to create more clicker questions in the following slides. The clicker question slides do not have to come in a row.
  • If a slide has a clicker question, the PRS icon will be placed at the left bottom, see example:
