This site reports on activities of a graduate course at Penn State focused on Visual Analytics with an emphasis on development and application of methods and tools for analysis of place-based social data. The course is a component of an NSF IGERT on Big Data Social Science, thus emphasizes cross-disciplinary synergies among students from multiple disciplines representing the analytical and social sciences.
