Over at the PublicLaboratory, they have come up with a nice simple and inexpensive telemetry kit for balloon aerial photography (BAP). The information the unit collects should help with image georeferencing. I suspect that the data could potentially be exploited by applications like Palentier that was written by Mark Willis and M. Stange.

Updated firmware on the ProXRT GPS from version 3.60 to 3.72. There were changes that resolved some issues with OmniSTAR. Winflash must be installed on the computer in order to perform the firmware update.
28Jul09 Note: Craig used COM port ## to connect the ProXRT to a laptop. A serial to USB converter cable was required to connect the machine to a laptop. I tried each of the COM ports until I found one that worked.
