I am working in the Intelligent Information Systems lab with Dr. James Wang in the broad area of image representation and retrieval.
I am deeply interested in the semantic understanding of visual media.
Before joining IST as a Ph. D. student, I was working as a research engineer in the multimedia technology division of Yahoo!, Bangalore, India. I have a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (2006).
