My favorite event of the year!   The 50-mile Relay race through Rothrock State Forest in all the autumn splendor.  It was 70 degrees and sunny and a fabulous autumn day!  My four-person team this year ran is only about 15 minutes slower than our eight-person team last year.  Given the extra mileage for the day, that's not too bad. Official time for the team this year was 7:46:41. We're not seriously competitive runners, as a matter of fact, I think our name says it all.  We run pretty much every year under the team name "In it for the T-shirts."  We know that's the only "prize" we're ever going to get in this race. The real beauty in a name like that is that since they hand out the T-shirts before the race, we've achieved our goal before we even start running for the day!

I'd like to give a big thanks to my teammates Mark, John and Scott this year. They were great company for the day!
