Moving out, moving in, and putting holes in the wall

Brandon moved into the Penn State dormitories last Friday.  On Saturday his sister moved into his barely vacated bedroom.  She's envied the "teen space" over the garage for a long time.  It's at the end of a long hall and well away from the rest of the bedrooms, plus it's got cable TV; something we hadn't allowed her to have until now.

So, we're repainting her old bedroom.  Why repaint if the house is only 4 years old?  Well, for those of you who haven't seen the camouflage room, here's a photo.  Now you know why I'm looking forward to re-painting.  This was Gretchen's idea when we moved in, and I allowed free expression each of the kids bedrooms.  So camo it was and she did most of the painting herself.  After this weekend though, it's gone! I'm wondering how may coats of paint its going to take to cover it up.  I'll post "after" photos later.

The upstairs looks like a war zone at the moment with bedroom furniture scattered among other rooms and I asked Brian to knock a hole in one of the walls in the upstairs hallway to build in a bookcase.  So far, no progress toward the actual bookcase, just a 4' by 6' hole in the wall. Good thing we have a long holiday weekend coming up!
