Got too many in my pond at home: want some?

Actually, this is an example of false advertising. I really wanted to follow up with the Libraries' Subject Heads and a discussion we had at their meeting on July 2nd. Are you there?

I think that the idea of Subject Heads having an IT liaison is a great, preferably someone who could advocate our concerns to both DLT and I-Tech, and someone who speaks enough tech talk to communicate effectively.

It's always nice to have a contact and champion! A knowledgeable contact is always an asset and can frequently save time overall. At the least, it would be useful to have a bulletin board-type place where we could check out existing concerns and their status. I'm not talking about Helpdesk problems but longer-term questions that languish in the current Helpdesk system of handling questions.
