The business division will host their interest meeting next week on April 28 in 358 Willard at 8 p.m.
"Being apart of Valley is a great way to network with other students that share similar interests," said Efe Obaigbena, 2009-2010 Managing Director. "Valley gives you the opportunity to build up your portfolio and great experience to put on your resume."
Valley recently debuted its fifth issue since being founded three years ago (http://www.valleymagazinepsu.com/the-magazine/). The staff is divided into two divisions, the Editorial and Business Division. Both are crucial to the success of the magazine. The Editorial Division of Valley is responsible for putting the entire magazine together; from pitching ideas and writing stories to editing and designing the pages. Writers are an integral part of this process. They are primarily responsible for coming up with unique, interesting article ideas, doing the research, and writing the stories.
The Business Division is responsible for advertising sales, advertising creative, event management and the promotions and marketing of Valley. The Business Division is a great opportunity for public relations, advertising and marketing majors to gain hands on experience.
Valley is committed to recognizing students for their academic and extra-curricular accomplishments, while covering trends in culture, style, entertainment and beauty in the University Park and State College area. Valley provides a positive environment for the staff by building friendships as well as portfolios.
