The team originally began as Traver, Royer, Parenteau and Steve Beckwith. Daniel Clark was a last minute substitute after some unforeseen circumstances forced Beckwith to withdraw from the team. Royer, Parenteau, and Clark are regular partners, and while they've never met Matt in person, from all the planning the team is pretty sure the group is solid and ready for big things.

The team of climbers will be joined in the Djangart region by journalist Jamie Maddison. He will work to chronicle the journey with photos, videos, and written reports. In addition to his role as team journalist, Jamie will explore the Djangart area for bouldering opportunities.

The team will also be hiring an intern from the Alpine Fund, Abdybek, who will assist the team as a translator, cook, porter, and camp guard, while earning money to support his education.
