In a comparison test against three similar electric toothbrushes, the Crest SpinBrush ranked third overall based on the following criteria: battery life, ergonomics, aesthetics, durability, cost, and quality, noise level cleaning effectiveness, attachments, and entertainment. The Crest Spinbrush fell into the third place position based on its lack of possible attachments, quality and cleaning effectiveness. In order to improve the toothbrush and have the possibility of moving up in the ranking system the following actions will be taken:
1. Replacement heads and hand grips will become features on the new toothbrush.
2. The quality of materials used in making the structure of the toothbrush and the new additions will be of higher rating.
3. The cleaning effectiveness will be raised by adding new features to the head of the brush to maximize cleaning ability without sacrificing comfort.
