Courses I Have Taught:

English 005: Writing Center Tutoring, a once-a-week, one-credit course for individual students who would like extra help with their writing (primarily for English 015 students).

English 015: Rhetoric and Composition
, a writing and argumentation course required of almost all Penn State freshmen.


English 202A: Writing in the Social Sciences, an upper-level writing course that focuses on the practice of ethnographic research: observations, literature reviews and research, interviews, and the synthesis of that variety of methods into one coherent ethnographic account.

English 202D: Business Writing
, an upper-level writing course that focuses on Business communication of various sorts: reports, emails, resumes, cover letters, memos, etc.

English 202C: Technical Writing, another upper-level writing course, which focuses on professional writing for a variety of audiences, with an emphasis on practical, user-friendly design.  Sample assignments include: a technical description, a job application package, an instruction set.
