Cacotopia, a neologism coined by the British writer Anthony Burgess (fr. Greek kak- = bad + topos = place).  You will read the essay in which he coined it, so I’ll spare you further detail. Sometimes people call these dystopias, but Burgess will explain why that isn’t a good idea.
