My research interest is in the area of social informatics and includes sub-areas such as international aid informatics, development informatics (ICT4D) and emergency response informatics.

I am particularly interested in the use of information and communication technologies for inter-organizational coordination and collaboration. The context of my research is humanitarian relief and development.

I am currently the project manager of COHORT, a research project at the College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) at Penn State that studies ICT best practices for coordination among humanitarian organizations.
