Blueberry irrigation in PA

For the last three years I have been serving as a teaching assistant for the “Modern techniques in eco-physiology” course, offered for graduate students under different biological oriented graduate majors at Penn State.

The main areas that I’ve been teaching are plant water relations and plant gas exchange

In the beginning, we proposed an experiment that intended to test different irrigation systems for high bush blueberry. Some of the treatments required some levels of soil dryness, however massive rain in 2004 and some storms like hurricane Ivan did not allow soil to dry.
