The advocacy guide was used in all American Cancer Society state-wide training sessions on comprehensive school health education and in six regional state-wide conferences on comprehensive school health education.  The American Cancer Society, National Office adopted portions of the guide.

This document was the primary outcome of the three-year grant.  Healthy Children:  The Key to Our Future served as the state-wide planning document for achieving Pennsylvania’s year 2000 goals for health education.  The document was distributed to the 501 school districts, Lead Education Agencies, offices of the Department of Public Health and the Department of Education, and to several private and voluntary organizations committed to improving the health education of Pennsylvania’s youth.
