This is what I do...

As the Associate Director, I serve as second in line to Sean Kelly, the Senior Director of the Division of Student Affairs (CSAO) for the supervision and oversight of all Division operations and programs.  As the Director of the Office of Student Conduct, I direct all related functions, including investigations of individual allegations of misconduct, training of University Hearing Board members and Advocates, adjudication of cases, and assignment of appropriate educational, developmental and administrative sanctions.  My other responsibilities include coordinating the Student Affairs Distinguished Speaker Series and the Sheetz Visiting Speaker Series, overseeing and directing Division-wide committees including:  Academic Convocation, Student Awards Convocation, construction and renovations, new employee orientation, parent-college relations, and serving as the faculty secretary for Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society.



Community Service Activities...

I currently serve or have served on the following University and community boards and committees:

Penn State Altoona Staff Advisory Board - 2010 to present.

Penn State Altoona Nitty Gritty Committee (building & renovation project oversight and advisory) - 2010 to present.

Penn State Altoona Early Alert Committee ("at risk students") - 2011 to present.

Penn State Altoona Faculty Senate - Administrative Representative - 2009 to 2011; member of Student Life Committee - 2009 to 2011.

Logan Township Community Policing Partnership
– Appointed by Logan Township Supervisors and Chief of Police to serve as a community stakeholder in training and examination of community policing efforts - 2004 to present.  Administer bi-annual Logan Township Police Qualification Exam - 2006 to present.

Principle Investigator, State Farm Grant - 
2007-2008, 2010-2011.

Principle Investigator, Enforcing the Underage Drinking Law (EUDL) Grant - Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency (OJJDP) and Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement  (BLCE) – received Commonwealth of Pennsylvania grant for $15,720.00 for education, training, and programming efforts to reduce underage drinking law violations - 2003 - 2004.

Blair County Behavioral Health and Mental Retardation Advisory Board – Appointed by Blair County Commissioners to serve two three-year terms.  The Board coordinates mental health services and agencies throughout Blair County, including the pursuit of funding opportunities and allocation of resources – 2003 to 2009; Chairman, Behavioral Health/Drug & Alcohol Committee, July 2005 to July 2007; Vice Chairman, Advisory Board, July 2006 to July 2008.

Blair County Republican Committee
– Logan Township, Sixth Precinct Representative 2002 to 2008; By-Laws Committee Member – 2002 to 2004; Executive Board, At-Large Member/Voter Registration and Events Committee Member 2004 to 2008.

American College Personnel Association, College Educators International –
