The Pennsylvania Library Association begins its annual conference today in State College. This is the first time that it has been held here in over 100 years. We'e very pleased to serve as hosts. The programs look good. Today I'm attending Academic Librarianship by Design and CPR for Meetings of the Bored. Tomorrow, Michael Berube will talk about academic freedom and I'm going to moderate that session. It takes a lot of dedicated people to put together a conference like this. Hats off to Betsy Allen of the Schlow Library and to Jack Sulzer here at Penn State for leading this huge group of volunteers who worked so hard to bring PaLA here to State College.
