My Travels
Travelling has been a very important factor in shaping who I am. Below are some pictures of my recent travels.

This is a view of Bogota, Colombia from Monserrate, a mountain that borders the city. I taught high school English here for one year.
Up on the mountain Monserrate is a church and a market that sells religious paraphernalia as well as other Colombian souvenirs.

This is me with my younger brother, Danny, in the mountains of Colombia, on our way to see Lake Guatavita (pictured below).

This lake used to be as high as the mountain tops. However, when the Spanish conquistadors arrived and saw the indigenous people throwing gold in as offerings to the gods, they drained the lake as much as they could in order to recover the precious metal. The bottom is said to be conical and the depth is yet unknown.

This is a statue of Cervantes in "Plaza Cervantes" in Cartagena, Colombia.

Here I am in front of the home in Cartagena of famous Colombian author, Gabriel García-Marquez, or Gabo, as he is commonly known.
