About Me

I was born in San Jose, Costa Rica to parents, Tom and Tina Delaney, who love to travel. When I was still a baby (18 months) we moved to Maryland in the USA. We didn't stay for too long however, when I was five we moved to Quito, Ecuador, where I first started to learn Spanish. Three years later we moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina for a year, followed by Caracas, Venezuela for a year and a half. Then it was back to Maryland. In 2006 I completed my B.A. at Salisbury University in Maryland double majoring in English Literature and Spanish, and minoring in Psychology. Upon graduating, I moved to Bogota, Colombia with my family and taught 11th grade English for a year at Colegio Nueva Granada (a well-known international school in Bogota). I am presently pursuing an MA in Spanish Literature at The Pennsylvania State University, where I also teach in the Spanish Basic Language Program.
