Bio
Dr. Kathleen Taylor Brown is a lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania. Her business background in the private sector is rooted in the operations of her family's dairy business, where she spent nearly two decades learning and ultimately accepting the full responsibility for management of the marketing, sales and human resources functions. Taylor's All-Star Dairy, Tri-point Ice Cream Sales and Stop-N-Go Food Stores combined to form this $60 Million company with 360 employees, which was built through three generations, steeped in family values and a proud tradition of hard work.
Dr. Brown's Bachelor of Science degree from Lock Haven University was an important first step in her academic pursuits, which includes a Master of Liberal Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration from Duquesne University; Dr. Brown received her Doctorate of Science, Information Systems and Communications, from Robert Morris University. Her field of research was Faculty Development/Educational Technology. DISSERTATION: The Role of Faculty Development in the Integration of Technology into an Elementary School: The Digital School District Initiative: A Case Study- Chair: Dean David Jamison, School of Communications and Information System.
Dr. Brown's background is holistic and includes both practical experience and solid research skills. She has participated nationally as a presenter and author for industry conferences and peer reviewed publications.
Dr. Brown currently is Assistant Professor of
Communications at Penn State McKeesport. She is
also advisor to PSM's newspaper "The Collegian".
