Student Ratings of Teaching Effectiveness

At Penn State, students complete anonymous quantitative course evaluations at the end of the semester called Student Ratings of Teaching Effectiveness or SRTEs. Items are determined by the University and the departments and are rated on a scale from 1 (lowest rating) to 7 (highest rating). Summary statistics for each course I have taught are presented below. Students also complete open-ended questions regarding their courses; selected responses are included in the "Student Comments" section of the site. As I discuss in the "Reflections on Courses Taught" section, I used these end-of-the-semester evaluations in conjunction with mid-semester feedback and feedback from professors and colleagues to improve my teaching.
