Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology and Demography

Minor in Women's Studies

My major research areas are the intersections of family, gender, and human reproduction. I am currently working on my dissertation project which is an analysis of fertility clinic, sperm bank, and egg donation agency practices in the U.S.  I am exploring three major aspects of human reproduction via gamete donation: family structure and family privilege, gender relations, and  links between social class and issues of genetic inheritance.
