It arrived! My dad came up Sunday and we installed both a new power supply (400 W) and my new video card: the GeForce 8600 GT. Here is a photo of my computer internals after it was all inserted.

Now playing Counter-Strike is a lot better than with integrated graphics!! Haha.
Our group is now getting the ball rolling and will be filming out digital imaging project tomorrow.

I know exactly how sweet the 8600GT is, because I have one too! I like that it has its own personal fan. Happy Gaming!
P.S. You haven't started filming yet?

Very nice. When it comes to bang for the buck, you really can't beat the 8600GT.
That, and it's got about triple the horsepower of my 6600GT AGP. =(

I have an 8600GT M in my laptop and let me say it's WONDERFUL. It even runs Unreal Tournament 3 Demo relatively smoothly. The 8600 is a good card. I think I may try to get an 8800 GT for my desktop. Since its got a 65 nm process instead of the traditional 90 nm it's beating out the 8800 Ultras.

This system is beautiful. I have always loved how the inside of systems look. I hope your game playing goes well.

I have a super duper 6800 back home, take that Garrett. While it clearly sucks when compared to cards like the one you have, it runs all Source games splendidly. What more could anyone need?
