There are good things that can happen. After watching today's episode of Webbalert, they highlighted how a student's video of the iPhone made him big bucks. After Nick Haley posted his video, Apple executives saw the video and decided to use it as a big selling commercial instead of slapping him with a copyright infringement. This video will appear during the World Series. Talk about quick fame!

I remember seeing that commerical during the World Series and thought that it was professionally made. Nick Haley is very talented, and Apple was very wise to show his commerical on the air. Apple has appeased the YouTube world, which can only mean good things for the company.

This was a really well made video. I'm a little confused as to why Nick would want to make a video like that, as it was pretty much just an advertisement for Apple. After editing the video for our project I can see how a video like that would take a lot of time and effort. I'm also happy to see how Apple responded to the video, and didn't just get the video taken down.

How much money do you think he made? I think I'll make a PC commercial.. But then the damned Apple vs. PC commercials would trump it... Oh well; they are the funniest anyways.

The internet allows talent to be found much easier by potential employers; Diggs/comments/views all point towards quality material, giving a young artist a greater chance of being seen by a company.

I'm very impressed with the work he did for this video, but if you compare the original to the one aired, you can easily pick out the very 'un-apple' things he included.
