I wish I remembered how I got the themes to be stored in my /blogs/ folder on my webspace. I remember clicking around on random templates and eventually it appeared there. Once you get the themes folder in your webspace, then you can edit them (sort of). If you try and manually set your theme, every time you rebuild your site it resets to whatever it last was, so be careful. The majority of the style edits are done though the template files at blogs.psu.edu under the templates tab.
