Prior to this position, I held positions as the manager of Unix Systems group at Penn State, a Marketing Representative, Systems Engineer, Development Manager, Product Planner, and Analytical Engineer for IBM.

Though most of my professional experience has been with programming for and providing services with various flavors of Unix, I also have experience with various other operating system environments. Most notably, in order of experience, was VMS, MVS, VM, SunOS, Aix, Solaris, Irix, Digital Unix, Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X.

With regards to providing computing infrastructure, I have a preference for building solutions as opposed to buying Commercial products, but I understand that there is always a buy versus build decision to be made. Regardless, I emphasize and believe in open standards and strongly supports open source.
