Scheduled Concerts and Activities for the Penn State Laureate



-Saturday, August 23rd, President's New Student Convocation
        featuring introductory video/interview for 7000 freshmen



-Saturday August 30, HUDDLE with the Faculty presentation
        “Getting to Know the Cello: A Conversation with Penn State’s University -Laureate” featuring a quartet
        of students from the Penn State Cello Choir

         -Power Point overview for football crowd explaining the history The cello, some of my
         research/creative activities, and a quartet of cellists playing selections ending with the Penn State
         Alma Mater. 120 audience members



-September 15, Meeting with the Chancellors of the Commonwealth Colleges
        power point presentation overview of what I can offer for each of the campuses, explaining my
        experience at Penn State, my research/creative activity, describing possible residency opportunities,
        22 Chancellors



-September 17, Palmer Museum of Art, Solo Recital, Noontime series, Bach Sixth Suite, Cello quartet
        selections, Alma Mater, 100 audience members



-September 19, Presidents Club Reception, Cello Choir plays for 600 donors, guest appearance of
        President Graham Spanier on the washboard.



-October 3, 2008, President’s Open House 2:30-4:00 Penn State Cello Choir performs for audience of 300
        and President Graham B. Spanier during the annual President's Office Open House at Old Main.



-October 6, 2008, Taping of WPSU Radio Interview and performance for “Take Note”   



-October 22-24, Travel to Pittsburgh for Oct. 23 Recital for Honors students at Penn State New
         Kensington and performance for Penn State New Kingston Gala



-October 26, 2008, Recital at the Unitarian Fellowship, State College



-November 7-8, Travel to Elkins West Virginia with the Castalia Trio for Recital and Residency



-November 16, Concerto performance with the Penn State Philharmonic, Brahms Double Concerto



-December 2, Guest Presentation for class by Dr. Sherry Roush
         (From Leonardo da Vinci to Vespucci to Gucci: The Impact of Italian Genius)



-December 5, 2:30 p.m. Penn State Cello Choir performs Gershwin medley, tango, and a fiddle tune.




-December 7-8,  Recitals and workshop at Fayette Campus

-December 14-21, Concerto Performance in Kharkov, Ukraine, Saint-Saens Concerto
