Biographical note - I was born in 1932, and educated at Indiana University (BS, 1954, MFA, 1959). I studied there with Alton Pickens, Leon Golub and Henry Holmes Smith. Worked as a painter from 1960 until 1990 when I turned to photography.
After teaching since 1960 at a number of different colleges and universities, I came to Penn State University in 1980 where I still teach.
