I am a Professor and Head of the Department of the Recreation, Park and Tourism Management at the Pennsylvania State University. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, my Master's degree from the University of Arizona, and two Bachelors degrees from the Pennsylvania State University.

I am enjoying my leadership role as Department Head and Professor.  Most of my teaching, research, service, and writing is devoted to exploring ways to enhance leisure in the lives of people with disabilities and other limitations and assist individuals who are experiencing barriers to enjoyable and meaningful leisure. Often I work with students studying therapeutic recreation.
