Collection Use Statistics

I finally got the sheet to record collection use statistics, which will be collected during the week of April 6 - April 12. I put the sheet in a folder at the desk. Remember to count only the things we shelve and all the things we shelve.

Summer Schedule

Our next and final training session will be held on Wednesday, April 9 from 3:30 - 5:00.  We'll discuss some general business and then we'll plan the summer schedule.  Be thinking about hours you're available and what hours you want to work.  If you won't be here this summer, you can leave after our general meeting.

Statistics Reminder

Don't forget reference statistics start on Sunday.  Make sure and count everything!  The instruction sheet and the tally sheets are in a folder at the desk where they're easily found.  After reference statistics, we count the materials we shelve.  I'll have those sheets for you as soon as I get them.  That will be the week of April 6 - 12.

Statistics

We start taking our spring reference statistics from March 30 - April 5.  It's very important to keep up with these during those days.  The photocopier is misbehaving, so I'm going to put the information in a folder at the desk.  I'm also going to keep the daily tally sheets in the folder, so that there won't be any confusion as to who has them on the weekends.

Kits

We've had some problems lately with the kits, especially with one patron who returns them with the parts from different kits intermingled and in the wrong bags.  Before discharging, count the parts and double check that the barcode/call number on the bag matches what's on the actual kit.  If there are any discrepancies, do not discharge.  Place the item(s) on the maintenance truck with a note explaining the problem.

I'm out tomorrow, so this is the last blog of the week.

Got busy yesterday and forgot to blog!  Sorry.  Not that I have anything vital to report today.  Maybe tomorrow?  Anyway, thanks for checking.

Summary of Yesterday's Session

Don't forget - Service Desk materials never circulate; Reference materials only circulate with special permission from a librarian.

Please make sure Room 514 is locked after any group uses it.

And, for your end-of-the-week viewing pleasure, Monty Python - Airplane Pilots

Printing Information from Karla (thanks, Karla!)

This website will tell students how many pages they have left to copy of the 100 pages that they get for free each semester (it used to be 110 pages but I guess it got changed).

clc.its.psu.edu

When you get to the page, click on printing and than click on status...it will tell you how many pages you've used and how many pages you have left...everyone else may already know this...but just in case someone doesn't, I thought I'd share the info... it's good to know...
