How to Link to the Top of the Page

Introduction

In this tutorial we will be guiding you through the process of creating a link within your page to take you to the top of that page. The video tutorial below will give visual instruction. For further clarification, written instructions can be found below.

 

The screencast below will provide detailed steps used in this process. Beneath the video tutorial is a list of steps to follow along. The screencast tutorial will provide a visual aid to each task used to create a link to move to the top of the page.

Steps

1.              Log in to your Dashboard.

a.     Open the page you would like to have the link on.

2.              Click on the link to preview the page you would like to place the link on.

3.              Copy the link at the top of the page.

4.              Return to your Dashboard where you have the page you would like to link to open.

5.              Go to the place on the page you would like to insert the link.

NOTE: You can place as many links you would like on your page.

 
 

 


6.              Type "Top of Page"

7.              Highlight the text you just typed.

8.              Click on the "Link" icon.Link.jpg

9.              Paste the link in the text box that appears and click "OK"

10.           Click "Save" by the bottom of the page to save your work.

11.           Click "Preview" to check that it inserted your link and it works.

 

Conclusion

This should only take a few minutes and will allow you to put this link in different spots throughout the page to get back to the top of the page. It can be helpful when there are tabs at the top of the page and you would need to go to the top to get to a different
