Bill Anderson was a pedestrian who was hit by a drunk driver. One side of Bill's face was torn off. He has no memory of anything before the accident. He had to learn to speak and write all over again. He suffers from post-traumatic headaches that are excruciating, and which are not helped by conventional medical treatment. Over the past 12 years, Bill has been given medications that drugged his senses almost constantly. These included Anexsia, Vicodin, Percocet, Percodan, and Marinol.
One of Bill's doctors has stated in writing: "The only drug that seems to give Bill any true relief from pain is cannabis. Although professionally I am not supposed to promote the use of illegal drugs, I must stand up for Bill and say that this is what works for him and this should be available for him."
