A panoramic view of the Columbia River Gorge taken by me from the Lemmon's Viewpoint on our hike to Multnomah Falls

This was our second visit to the Multnomah Falls -- this time with the purpose of hiking.

We went up the trail all the way, almost to the top, Devil's Summit. It was already dark, so we didn't climb up the rest. There were beautiful smaller falls and cataracts all along the way. And wild flowers. We made a loop and took the Wahkeena trail, to visit the Wahkeena Springs and the Wahkeena Falls on our way back.

At a place there were rocks all over a flat portion of the ravine. We climbed those rocks and went as far as we could.

At the top of the Multnomah Falls, there is an observatory, and also a small falls. You can see me all sweaty, because of the long hike.

This first tier of the falls go at least 500 feet down.

Trees like these adorn the mountain tops, at least 70/80 feet tall.
