Social Networking Podcasts

|
socnetgroup.jpg
The Penn State Libraries Social Networking Group explores various new technologies (some that may even fall outside of the social networking designation) and how best to implement them at the Libraries. Because of the ubiquitous nature of technology, our efforts often involve various departments in the Libraries and outside.

We have recorded some of our informal meeting as audio podcasts available through iTunesU.  I have moderated a discussion of training in social networking tools and another on eScience.

Science Resources Podcasts

|
Working with fellow science librarian, Kathy Fescemyer, I created the second podcast in the series "Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere: Science Resources at Penn State" where we focused on the electronic resource Access Science.  Both podcasts are available through iTunesU with slides or audio only.

Graphic Novels in the Sciences

|

The University Libraries invited Juniata College Assistant Professor of Biology and cartoonist Jay Hosler to speak about Graphic Novels (and Comics) in the Sciences and their role in higher education.
