Subcooled Boiling and Cell Centered Conduction

Assignment :

Finish Homeworks  9 and 10

Too many equations on this one so take a look at the PDF file for this lecture. You should focus on the model for subcooled boiling and the approach to evaluating a Laplacian operator in cylindrical coordinates when r=0. The material on an alternate conduction equation is provided to increase your experience with finite volume methods and to give you a feel for one other option in solving a conduction problem. In fact, if I were programming the conduction solution from scratch today, I would go looking for a finite element method. However, one thing worth picking up from the discussion of the cell centered conduction solution is the concept of flux matching. It pops up in other applications.
