Journal Assignment #12 (due Dec. 7)
Pretend you you have been asked to nominate a person to receive the Outstanding Media Figure of the Twentieth Century. Write a 500-word letter to the nominating committee highlighting the person's outstanding accomplishments and the reasons why they should receive the award. The person can come from any area of the mass media, but should be someone we have discussed or read about in class. You must use at least one other source of information in addition to class notes and the textbook. List the source(s) at the end of the essay.
Note: This is an extra credit assignment. You can use the journal assignment to substitute for a journal you may have missed or substitute for one in which you received a poor grade.
