Jonathan E. Lorenzini is a full-time student majoring in public relations and economics at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pa.

Born July 1, 1987, in Scotch Plains, N.J., Lorenzini attended Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School where he graduated in 2005. During this time he was a part of various clubs including: Junior Statesmen of America, Physics League, Chemistry League and Math League. At the 2005 Junior Statesmen of America Winter Conference in Washington D.C., Lorenzini received the Best Speaker Award from the House of Representatives.

Lorenzini was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout with silver palms. As a Boy Scout, Lorenzini took many positions within the organization such as Senior Patrol Leader and Adult Outing Leader. Lorenzini also worked at Scoops, a local ice cream shop, where he was promoted to a managerial position.
Lorenzini enrolled at The Pennsylvania State University in the Fall of 2005. As a junior, Lorenzini has written press releases, feature releases, fact sheets and written reports from survey data. Lorenzini works for Information Technology Services at University Park as a computer lab consultant, where he assists students and faculty in Microsoft Office programs, Web browsing and basic computer troubleshooting.

During his digital marketing and e-commerce internship with Virgin Mobile, Lorenzini worked in a variety of projects including a comparitive analysis of competitors Web sites, increasing customer rentention after aquiring Helio, testing live customer suport software, and creating social media stratigies using Twitter, Digg, Facebook, MySpace and YouTube.

As a senior, Lorenzini photographs for  Penn States yearbook and was involved in two national competitons: Google’s Online Marketing Challenge(GOMCHA), and the PRSSA Bateman competition. For GOMCHA, Lorenzini had the role team leader in which he supervises four other group members in creating stratigies for their campaign on Google AdWords platform.

In Lorenzini’s spare time, he enjoys photography and explores new technology by creating Web sites and editing digital videos and photos using computer software programs. He also is the founder of the State College Chapter of Couchsurfing.

When not in State College during the academic year, Lorenzini resides in Scotch Plains, N.J. with his mother Joanne, father Edward, sister Kimberly and brother Wesley. After college, Lorenzini would like to find a career in public relations / marketing / media buying for high-techology companies.
